For some reason, my reaction to the following was, awww, how cute!

Putting each of the measures in separate bills allowed most Democrats and most Republicans to vote against breaks they didn’t like — for corporations and low-come groups, respectively — while allowing each bill to get he 60 votes it needed to pass.
